Skippy Blair here - Although Mary Ann needs no introduction to the West Coast Swing dancers in the world - we both laughed recently, when we heard someone ask "Well who are Skippy Blair and Mary Ann Nunez - Do THEY dance?" Just for clarification, I'd like the world to know that::
Mary Ann Nunez is:
- A two-time, First place Showcase Champion at the US OPEN with Lance Schermoen.
- She was inducted into the California "Worlds" and "Legends of Swing" Hall of Fame.
- She is a three-time winner of the "Feather Award" and "Dancers Choice Award".
- She is a GSDTA Certified West Coast Swing Specialist.
Mary Ann has not only won hundreds of first place titles in West Coast Swing,
nationwide - But has also accumulated one of the highest female Jack & Jill
contestant points in the World Swing Dance Council Competitor's Registry. Wow!

Skippy Blair here.... Hey Everyone I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce my esteemed Protegé and Personal Dance Trainer Assistant, Sarah Grusmark. On an Academic and Professional Level, Sarah is:
- A GSDTA 'Dance Dynamics' Instructor of Contemporary Social Dance
- A GSDTA Certified West Coast Swing Instructor & Examiner
- An Adjunct Professor/ Department of Movement & Sports Science, for the University of La Verne.
Sarah started dancing in West Coast Swing in 1993. She has been teaching contemporary social dances since 1997. Sarah has been quoted as saying that her biggest thrill comes from working with beginners. She is well known, not only for her effective teaching skills, but also for her Fun, Exciting and Upbeat Attitude. Sarah's love of dance is definitely infectious and always an important part of her classes. She is proud of her position as Adjunct Professor at the University of La Verne (10 years & counting). Golden State Dance Teacher's Association is proud to have her as a Certified Instructor & Examiner. She also serves as a Dance & Exercise Specialist for the City of Long Beach CA.
Sarah is widely respected for the work she has accomplished as my Associate over the past few years. This included lecturing & teaching at Universities like Stanford & La Verne; Plus GSDTA Intensives throughout the U.S, including Hawaii & Australia. As a Board member, Sarah also serves as Official Examiner for Certification for the Golden State Dance Teachers Association.
